Sakamoto and Alva Noto a while back, and Sakamoto with his Trio just the other week. Both good shows, with some spine tingling "wow" moments, although certainly there is not much audience engagement. And I do like how mixed the crowd was, similar to a Kraftwerk gig

I run some hardware compressors as inserts on the computer main mix. So I will multi-track record in the 'puter, but then treat the final mixdown with hardware in realtime.

not mine, but a low-profile friend of mine. I think it needs more profile. (Pro)File under FAX.

for more of a SID sound, I think I would like this more than the electron

I instead mainly use it as a step sequencer for synths. You can include portamento slides in the step sequence, and random stepping, pretty nifty.

Nice, I was thinking of getting one just for that purpose. Can it's clock slave to the external one? Does the knobs send MIDI data or just sliders?

Please make some demos if you have time.

demos of the effects? I can try, but youtube has some for sure.

The knobs do indeed send to midi (CC) as well as the sliders (notes), and yes, the thing can sync to midi clock or be master.

I use mine mainly to sequence a nord rack, as I like that the portamento LED goes on and off with the sequenced slides.

oh yeah, the thing does a half-arsed "303" emulation and it can be a basic drum machine too. But all of these are exclussive, so it is either/or

How about Roland EF-303?

Seems nice, and half the price of KP3

Oh shit, I wanted to be rid of one synth by selling the 6k now. Out of interest, why do you keep both?

DW-8000. After scoffing at these from a full analogue high horse for years, I must say, these are very nice sounding synths, in a Jan Hammer kinda way.

this is brilliant stuff. pity about the 106, but like all replicants, the built in 25year life span gets them all. now there is no need to try the acetone treatment yourself, this guy seem to do it for a fair price:

btw: i think get your Teac tape decks now before prices skyrocket

by god yes! I think you can sell the programmer for that alone, if you dont like it

In recent weeks,  I've taken on a Roland EF303,  Korg DW6000,  a Casio VZ10m,  some distortion pedals.
Apparently it's time to sell some stuff.

Some sounds are eeprom samples,  so you can burn your own,  or.insert old eeprom operating systems.  I think this was the snare.  The toms are analogue though.

Crap.  Missed it,  had no idea

A quick grainy shot taken at the new place... not yet all setup, but cable spaghetti already growing. This time I have a good foot between the monitor and back wall, the opposite wall is full of books. maybe I just need to hang something under the ceiling.

And make sure you drink lots of water

Yeah,  alcohol in general does not help, as it dehydrates and blood gets thicker.  Also Ginkgo extracts can help.  I'm not sure if it's not just the placebo effect.
