From Signals label out of the North East of England......

Mark Hand - Remind me 12" vinyl

A1 Mark Hand - Mess it up (8.12)
B1 Mark Hand - Remind me (7.09)
B2 Mark Hand - Never forget (7.25)

Take a twilight drive down the A19 with the billowing steam of Redcar steel works in the distance and the exotic promise of the lights of Teeside's chemical industry on the horizon. Wash away that ennui with these three deep and soulful techno & house cuts from UK producer Mark Hand.

A wonderfully produced; debut vinyl 12", direct from the moody streets of Hartlepool, filled with all the analogue warmth and low frequencies required for late night dancefloors and early morning reflections.

A Side - The way we were (Original mix)
B Side - The way we were (John Heckle remix)

Two stunning slices of mercurial and heartfelt British Techno from two outstanding northern producers that cuts across the M62 corridor like a night drive into oblivion.

A 10" black hit of space, lovingly designed for the dark, sweaty basements of provincial, post-industrial towns and the cold light of day in the car park of Knutsford Services.

This week’s Signals from the North mix has been carefully curated by the head controller of the Atomic Allotment. The Atomic Allotment is the Signals in-house production facility (think Pete Waterman meets Jean Rollin) located deep underground beneath the sleepy North Tyneside village of West Allotment.

The mix is mostly a gloomy affair of pianos, organs and horror themes that slowly works itself up to electrofunk with a hint of Black Metal origins towards the close.

A free Dan Dare comic to any freeks who can guess who curated this mix????

All mixes will be archived on the Signals from the North mixcloud page http://mixcloud.com/signals

This August Bank Holiday Sunday at The Tanners Arms the recently resurrected Road to Rimini unites with the Scottish brethern of the Tabernacle for an all day extravaganza at the newly improved Tanners Arms.

Slabs of the Tabernacle is an infamous night that has been running for the last five years. They have put on parties in Glasgow, London and Holland. They also run the marvelous Tabernacle Records putting out super limited vinyl of the very best uncomprimising and original Techno and Electro.

The party gets started at 5pm sharp and will roll on into the wee hours.

The drinks will be ice cold and the music hot with a heavy rotation and veritable mix of bangers and broadstrokes from across the musical spectrum.

Disk Jockey duties will be performed by the usual Road to Rimini crew along with Andrew Ingram and Joel Shaw representing the Tabernacle.

For those making the trip up/down to the toon here's where you find The Tanners:
