Hello everyone,
I can't get it out of my head. I've been to the hasbeens show in Paris last may, and they played a track sounding like "hey mister ditsworth, hey mister ditsworth" again and again. it was real cool and I can't find it. does anyone knows it ?

cheers !
Antoine

that's hot

did you record any set yesterday ??

that was really fine but one guy kept pissing me off about how the music was bad and he like dopplereffekt and he was a true electronic music expert and on and on.. he sucked my good mood for at least 5 minutes

to me it sounds like a lot of analog synth, with a filter ! could be moog but anything will do, even my juno-1 can do things close to that.. but I am no expert!!

Hey! thanks for answering, you didn't confuse me I swear!
I laid hand yesterday, after talking about that with friends, on this FOSTEX 2016 :

Well I know it's not High-end, but it will do the job I guess !! I just have to buy a preamp if I want to use a microphone I understood. 4 aux, 2 return, but no groups it seems.

I don't need a patch bay until I have like lots of effect and sources right? in this case I would need more than 4 to be overwhelmed, because I have 4 aux ?

At least that settles the digital console. But I think I understood that this is pretty useless, unless I want to record live band, which is not the case.

Now I need to buy some cables, connect it and make some music at last !! time for congas !!

j'y serais !

Hi Everyone,

Well I'm tired of lacking some real recording stuff, I got two synths (DX7 and Juno-1) and I use VSTs and record some conga and voice action, right now with my EMU0404 soundcard I have to unplug and plug manually everytime behind my computer...
So I wanted to get something where I could plug all my sources and send it to my computer, while still using my good old soundcard, mostly for the MIDI IN (I never understood the effects or the software that came with it)

So I understood I had three options :

-Buying an analogic console, easy solution, I just connect it to my current soundcard, but I can't see the separate channels in my Cubase, I have to record one instrument at a time if I want to put software effects on it...

-Buying something that convert audio to numeric, like a box, but this won't allow me to see the input on separate channels right ?

-buying some firewire or usb connected console, like this one : http://www.mackie.com/Products/onyxiseries/photos/Onyx%20820i%20Top.jpg But is this doing external soundcard too? may I still use my old soundcard with MIDI with that ?

Besides, I was wasking myself questions about the use of hardware effects. Sure it's cool, but how do you use it ? You have to plug it everytime you want to use it between your console and your source ?

this track is really cool

anyway just bought your LP, keep up the good sound !!

love it, your third tracks sounds much like luke million-italo journey, is it coincidence or inspiration ? http://youtu.be/_a4JIdA-pbg

this sounds right

Hi,

after severals years of listening synthetic/electronic music, and raised by tons of great mixes, I would love to try to mix it myself to push my own favorite sounds, but I've no ideas with where to start, coz I don't know anybody in person who does it.
So I tried with some software, as my turnables are not really done for that (no precise tempo control ), and I've some questions after my tests :

Before recording a mix, do you write down the tempo of every song somewhere, with like the times of the "drums only parts", or light parts were you can make a transition ? because some tracks just won't fit together...
Do you mainly use software, vinyl mixing or Cds mixing ?

and well if you have some general advice.. I was trying to do a slow yet fat electro selection, the tracklist is done but the "fitting together part" is not as easy as it seemed.

!!

At that age I used to really love some Art of Noise, you can talk about the fact that they use everyday life sounds to put it in electronic music, sampled voices put on a keyboard and played...

Io,

First, I want to apologize for posting such an unfinished track compared to what you guys do.. But since I know no one who could give me any advice on what I do sounds like, I post it here...
I don't know if I should buy synthesizer, I did this very cheesy loop with cubase and vst, and except the really crap drums FM house sounding, this sounds pretty much the same, no?

anyway, shoudl I keep on? do you want to hear something like real version of it ? I need motivation to go on I can't do it myself big_smile

cheers
