Topic: Need help with Solton Polyvox synth keyboard controller

I just acquired the Solton Polyvox, it's this beast:

Everything sounds great on it, except I do not have the controller keyboard. The Polyvox does not have midi, but CV instead.

How can I use the synthesizer then? Is the solution for me to get a Midi-to-CV adapter, and use a midi keyboard?

My version has a special modified jack input on the back that says "Master keyboard controller", which the one pictured above does not have.

Or is perhaps the Akai Max49 a (expensive) solution? That is a midi controller with CV output.

Thanks for any advice. It's a really fun guy this Polyvox, but thusfar I am limited to the drum computer.

Re: Need help with Solton Polyvox synth keyboard controller

I doubt the Solton Polyvox has regular CV/gate inputs if it's a polysynth. CV/gate would normally be used to control monosynths. Each gate is just one note being triggered on and off, and each CV gives the pitch for one note at a time.

You should take a photo of the inputs on the back and post them up here so people can check.

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I am not internet-savvy enough to know how to post my own photos here. The back of my guy looks exactly like the ones in these links, except there is 1/4-inch jack that says "Master keyboard controller input" on mine as well.

What is the input next to the Accordeon Output all the way to the right in the second link i posted, that says "Input"? Is that not CV/gate?

Thanks for the help!
