Topic: advice on Speakers + Amplifier (home use)

I'm looking for new speakers and (if necessary) an amplifier for the livingroom.

In this case looks are just as important as the sound.

60's/70's design is what I'm sensitive for. Mostly wood, really dislike these modern all-black things.

Show me what you have, or what you would like to have. Every example/tip/piece of advice is more than welcome. Thanks!

Re: advice on Speakers + Amplifier (home use)

I think most ppl uses active speakers like the Krk's these days for the convenience you don't need a separate amp. Design wise that garish black and yellow of the Krk's might look ok in a studio but doesn't look good in your front room. It's the whole difference between studio monitors and hi-fi....certainly in agreement i prefer a more classic look than wads of black plastic, but getting into the world of hi-fi is a pricy one, matching speakers to amplifiers..why again i think most just go for active studio monitors. It depends on how much money you want to spend...

I have had a pair of AVi pro Nine Plus passive monitors and a Naim integrated amp for over ten years....
