Take the night train from Hanoi to Sapa.
Easy and a fun experience.

yep definitely agree with Sapa. I'll have to look up some of the cool places I went in Saigon but almost everything there is awesome (in my opinion). One tourist-y thing ya could do is check out Cu Chi tunnels which is extremely interesting, amazing the size of the tunnels that they fit themselves into, they also let you shoot AK-47 at end of the tour. Vietnam is one of my favorite places that I've been to and could definitely live there!

Cool I'm flying to Saigon...so will check out around there...the tunnels, the famous temple...go to Can Tho as well...
Will probably try to Couchsurf everywhere smile  I have shot an AK-47 before, grew up in a communist country LOL  lol
