ok, i see. didnt want to offend you/ her, btw.
i also have nearly no real close friends who are into these kinds of music. altough my best friend also likes this music, shes more like just the "party fraction" and not really interested in all this.

in a way music is for me something really selfish,i enjoy it the most when i'm alone

yeah, but its also nice to share your delight about a special track or even a mix or sth with someone else. for me its sometimes even difficult to find someone to go out with to a good party. and thats a real pity.

pffft I don't even have any good parties to go to.

I hear what you say spookie - sometimes I like to just listen to music by myself so I can play it loud and put on one track off an lp and half of a song until my favourite bit and so on and so on.

But I also like it when you play a song to a friend and they are blown away by it.

But at the moment I don't really know anyone who truly 'gets' italo or odd synth music etc.

some months ago i had a dj gig
for me i had the greatest set of records
but for the others,they didn't dig it
after me someguy throwed on breakbeat,drum ' bass and the house was immediately on fire

There's always good parties, you just have to be open and think outside disco. There's good in every genre. It's of course sad to see if you play disco and the guy after you bangs some minimal and people go nuts. But that's life

I live on a small island - and there is just not enough people to sustain really good parties.

My choice is a mainstream house night, which can be okay (after all it is on the beach) or a mainstream hiphop night which can also be okay apart from the dj only playing about 60 seconds of any record before a'scratching and a'cutting into the next one.

If I did have all my records and could set up my own night, I honestly doubt that there would be any interest.

when your in the Ghent area, don't hesitate to hop in with some "underappreciated" records.. i'm all ears
