Svreca

To celebrate our 5th birthday, we have invited Svreca, label boss of Semantica Records to Glasgow.

In 6 years his Madrid based label has released over 50 records from the likes of Surgeon, E.R.P., Skirt, Morphology as well as from himself. Its harder-edged feeling is something he incorporates beautifully into his DJ sets, bringing together dense, rhythmic techno and abstract ambience in a hypnotic and fresh fashion.

Following the success of our previous Big Joint events we are once again making sure the sound and atmosphere in this perfect little club space will be exactly right. We have had some amazing nights over the past five years and reckon this birthday party will sit up there as one of our best.

Don't think the taxi's to the venue will be an issue, Bar78 isn't even that good..it;s a fucking veggie joint...but it was good having the meet point to get everyone out for bevvies beforehand, otherwise folks will be more inclined to do their own thing like stay in the house & drink cheap cider.

I have always liked the big joint, you can rinse the fuck out the volume cause it's in the middle of nowhere cool looking forward to this already.

buawwhhaha....even has the hand print across the chest, yeah i remember falling asleep in Kelvingrove..not gonna make it over with Don at the end of May, maybe I'll come over later in the year when it's not so hot tongue

And on to the Slabs, big ups ma' rum soldiers who mounted a sterling attempt to drink Glasgow dry ...pretty sure i'm still pissed. I absolutely enjoyed Svreca, the relentless berghain techno really got into my head....a top bloke too. Belter of a set from Andrew at the afters, massive brownie points for UR - illuminator..then the other punks stunk up the place.

Great to see all you guys again...that was a fucking blast. cool
