The cover is not inspired that obviously but the whole record sleeve is copied from the Peter Saville one, unfortunately I can't find the pics on the web.

wow, fucking crystal castels spreading their shit to other media indeed. what's next? stealing on some semi-obscure music videos?
it's pathetic, but at least the guy got paid in the end..
Yeah it seem Brown will retain reproduction rights but image is now CC. Band still will have to deal with Channel issue sooner or later. Funny thing is most everyone was made aware of this situation by Pitchfork "gallantly" bringing the story to light , and at same time shamelessly promoting a tour for this so called act.

i think most people who bought it were interested in the music contained within the album rather than the artwork.
yes it sucks for trevor brown to be uncredited, but it's a bit pompous to think that they made all that money because of his work.
edit: as for the t-shirts, yeah that was very wrong of them. thats a bit typical of the toronto indie-punk-arts scene, "apporpriate" an image and make money from it. it's actually quiet nausseating when you have to work so hard to get original work to get noticed in the city and others just slap a sticker or some words on some older piece of art.
