The Juan MacLean - Happy House

To get an impression of the song: "The track is pure crowd-pleasing ear candy: bongos, handclaps, cowbell and funky syncopated bass; and just in case you don't like house music, the track radically shift into cosmic, Giorgio Morodor-esque italodisco territory by the end."

I thought you didn't like Iron Curtain..? "The Cure on smack" tongue

That Rok-etz is a good track, rest of the LP is crap though.

Re: your last purchases of records

almost everything the rockets put out is crap

Re: your last purchases of records

^ strongly disagree...
"On The Road Again" LP is pretty overrated, but the whole of "Atomic" is great!

yes that's right
bought it on impulse localy just cause it was cheap ($24 for an e.p)and i'm so used to think of it as such a rare find,
i still think they don't touch other sf bands like Tuxedomoon, rhythem&noise or Minimal Man, no matter how much
the records go for. And they do sound like the cure on smack to me,,,
it's still sealed and will prob stay like that for a while considering the amount of stuff i got lately, and has'nt gone
thru,,,
re: the rok-etz
don't like this one much either, the lp that i like the most is the one with Electric Delight.

Re: your last purchases of records

Iron Curtain is great, truly not for their innovative music, but more for atmosphere and songwriting.
Just listen to "First Punk Wars" on the EP. So I guess, it is more a matter of taste than other music of this genre.

I also dig dome old Cure stuff by the way. "Charlotte Sometimes" is maybe a bit comparable to Iron Curtain...

Yep, I really like Iron Curtain. (like you said) mainly for the atmosphere.
"First Punk Wars" is really good, but "The Condos" is probably my favorite. Intelligent and memorable lyrics as well on most of their tracks.
I'm going to check out that old Cure stuff, mostly ignored it before.
