Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

Always a pleasure to see our main man speak and explain. Coolex!

When the interviewer asks at 01:02:24 : "Do you have a track that Rams Horn exploited?"
I-F: "Basically, if you hear an old disco track, Rams Horn exploited it." lol

"Are you loving?"

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

Mmmm, I don't think this is really good. I also think that a lot of the audience only know space invaders.
Would he been invited without that "hit"?

What would you prefer then? The man obviously has a "staat van dienst" not only because of that "hit".

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

Seems like RB didn't really know what he was about as they wanted to talk about techno! Back at them with some italo. Nice one, I enjoyed listening to it.

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

Man that interviewer asks the dumbest questions....  I think I-F did will under the circumstances.

I like the bit where the interviewer asks if he was talking to people on the phone, then I-F says something like "yes I think they were people I was talking too" smile

Offcourse, I just meant that interviewer is an idiot and Red Bull sucks. Just let them organize extreme sport events and leave the music business alone. Get an interviewer with knowledge and fill the room with people who really care.

Yeah, the atmosphere comes over as overcommercialised and the crowd well...the aforementioned "douchebags" would be a fitting description I guess. But hey, I think I-F stays sincere in his answers although the question could be way more intelligent/to the point, I agree.

He said that CBS worked but had reached its own limits  .. And that u have sometimes to break smthg to be able to go further...

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

That CBS is a golem smile...i agree with Scarface, Interferencz was sincere...and who cares about those "douchebags" , as long as I-f accepted this interview for Bed Rull.

Dude, if you want to make living with music these days you need to give up little bit to the more 'commercial' things. And I don't think Red Bull Music Academy is that bad, I mean I guess it's great opportunity to learn things for starting producers and they invite cool people too. And not everybody knows about italo, disco, i-f, the dutch scene so the interviewer has to ask kinda basic questions I guess. I think Marco Passarani has been there a few years giving lectures etc. already. What's this elitist mentality in this forum? Calling people douchebags... Come on, you're bunch of douchebags too. Fucking nerds.

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

Bottomline:

elitistic, nerdy lectures don't pay the bills
commercial, superficial lectures do pay the bills

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

ez kenz. you know i did laugh when i saw the audience too. half of them look like they're sleeping or talking over the track. that shit is disrespectful. lol @ pop hit sheesh. You gotta understand most people don't like music as much as robots. and seeing those girls mocking superman was kinda lame. So the majority of the audience seemed to not understand the music or open minded about it. and as far as being elitist its us and them, thats the way it is.

GREETZ!

...but being able to pay the bills isn't enough, there has to be a way #3.

Re: I-F: lecture at the Red Bull academy

It sure was a totally esoteric session for the interviewer and the audience ..
They wanted to hear about techno .. But it began very bad with the "1997 death of techno" postulate haha !
They were sooo out of knowledge and were wondering what are/were these lame (in their opinion) selected tunes..
Funny anyway smile
