Topic: Nord Modular G2 Demo

I've been playing around with the G2 demo software for a few minutes.. just scratched the surface but its really fun and sounds pretty good too.  The demo is monophonic only so I just stacked some oscs together chord memory style to get an idea of how chords would sound.

Anyway I'm wondering how the micro modular is compared to this.  Is the G1 still pretty cool compared to the G2?  Can you squeeze some chords out of it or is 1 dsp just too limited?

You can get chords and all kinds of shit out of a micromodular, its pretty powerfull still even though its 1/4th of a normal G1. With a bit of handy programming you can get whole tracks out of it.

G1's have a different character then the G2's and imo are worth their own. I guess the way to say it is that the G1's are "rougher" with a more 90s digital edge or something

Well I have a G2X and I have to admit that I used to keep the keyboard of my computer on the right side
of the panel... it fits perfectly!

hey Forax ,  i have done this track with the nord g2. only the arpeggio bassline straight from the beginning is from the juno 106. also the vocoder is from the nord g2. enjoy

Cool man thanks for posting.. sounds great.  I'm trying to keep my studio slimmed down but thats the problem.. the micromodular is so small and versatile. big_smile
