Topic: Tag editing software for audio files

Is there any application which can retrieve info from Discogs and transorm it to mp3 tags? Or any script which can do it in some  tagging software (i.e. MediaMonkey)?

edit: probably wrong section for this thread, please move it to general soft. discussion

Re: Tag editing software for audio files

looks promising, thanks bias.

Re: Tag editing software for audio files

I assume you're ripping from CD? If so and are on a Mac I encode with Blacktree's iTunes LAME script.
http://www.blacktree.com/

It checks the CDBB (sp?) tags. On occasion though it may miss some fields but I'd rather go through this little pain for LAME-ified files over the standard MP3 encoding.

If recording your vinyl to digital I know of no other way around it other than manually entering all the fields.

Do it your way, because everyone else is just weird.

Re: Tag editing software for audio files

i`m on win and trying to make order in my mp3s.

tigo tago works fine ,with some issues, but for now its enough.

Have you guys noticed http://musicbrainz.org/  ? it`s free music database and site offers also some tagging softwre for win, mac, linux

Re: Tag editing software for audio files

Tigo tago is just what i needed! Good tip, bias. Nice column updates en filters.

I 'm still looking for a program with which i can add an image to the mp3 file. I don't want to use itunes. Anyone knows something?

Re: Tag editing software for audio files

Winamp only pastes the image into the folder of the mp3 file. I do not see an option to add it to the file itself...
