It wouldn't hurt to put some mp3's of the releases on a normal server somewhere, a lot of people don't even go to the trouble of clicking on those myspace links.

if I see myspace/blablah most of the time I steer clear (when I am not in the mood for endless waiting loading or not loading at all....and then zillions of spam about models and crap movies and even crapper bands etc.)

But yeah I dunno the kids of today probably know nothing else then myspace so it might pay off indeed

But i think i've heard the track already some time ago, or am i wrong ?

.. btw : I don't see the problem with myspace. If you don't like it , don't use it. 
I get a lot of my (re) discoveries from that place.  You can find artists you would never have clicked on
when using normal google search or whatever.
In this case i'm glad i can just go to the Mighty Robot site and instantly listen to the remixes of the track.
..what can be wrong with that ?....just my two cents...

From what I gather the original version of Plug was recorded a while ago but never released.

Operator is the best record in the history of the world (imo).  I am not aware of any record which combines weird psychedelic rock, electro, funk, early 90s vicious Force Inc / Structure style acid and country music in the way that this one does.  I've been excited about it for three years.  Operator spent two years recording bird song and drumtracks to make sure it was just right.  You should check it out.

That's my good lady and ceiling reflected on Katelectro's lovely blue vinyl btw.
