I don't think Bale is at all out of order. If you're doing a scene and someone is fuckin around and putting you off it's difficult, I don't think he's being a primadonna. For tantrums see Kinski in 'My Best Fiend'.
He's doing a scene playing a character who is obviously agressive (John Conner) then the DP is pissing around with lights while they're trying to film. Was really surprised it was the DP he was screaming at, thought it might be a runner or sparky.
Now if he was screaming at the caterer or wardrobe off set then that would be a different matter!

@ rimini, that did cross my mind, but there is no justification for acting like that. if i was the dp and he starting going off at me, i'd lay into the fucker - screw the job (and you'd probably be a hero)
