Topic: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

funny thing - both tracks ("mike dearborn - new dimension" and "jackmaster corky - dimension 106") sounds a litlle bit that same! smile

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

how are they a bit the same?

they both have strings, that's where the similarity ends IMO.  smile

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

Yeah, they're really not the same, they just capture the same erm... dimension.

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

of course both tracks are not completly that same but main theme (for me) is similar smile

since he was the 1st to react last time on that same thread when it came up on the CBS - and comented about it
before the rekid was out - i won't be surprised
even tho it's not my cup of tea, well in fact i hated this(and I suppose i'm Orgues bigest fan downunder)It's the case
were if it's not him - then he's "in on it" somehow

It sounds nothing like the Dearborn track.  So it has a similar sounding string, so what?  Chicago tracks have a signature string sound. The notes aren't even similar IMO.

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

my 2 rubles is that jackmaster is made after inspiration from dearborn. Its a pretty talentless track so any throw away name would do - so simplest was to reference the influence in the track name, and add the synth number 106. creme jak of course released it haha and legowelt flew to bermuda to sip on some juice

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

No, I didn't make it, I hardly ever talk about my own tracks, except for one track but that was made by my cat so it's technically not mine either.
I really like this Corky track for what it is, not so much for what others think it is so I guess that's why I apparently replied twice saying that it doesn't sound like Dearborn.

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

wait...your cat made this?

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

D' oh, no... I have nothing to do with this one. I don't even feed Corky.

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

your cat is awesome! waiting for more now

Hee Brian, heb je nu al een deur met een kattenluikje?

Re: mike dearborn vs jackmaster corky

@ ratsnake
compared to this the sweatercat looks pretty relaxed:

@ Brian Chinetti
your cat looks pretty lazy on that pic. what kind of track was it... more minimal? wink
