Topic: Bands

So.. ive been on an electronic tip for many years now.. which has caused me to ignore a lot of "band" music. I used to know a lot more back in the day when i played in bands and stuff... but man.. i just left that world or something.

What bands are you guys listening to? what are your top bands?

The only modern bands i find myself listening to these days are the Sea and Cake and Do Make Say Think.. and then some punk and joy division here and there.



This is my attempt at finding out more about cool band shit!

after i got lost on the electronic tip the band music i mostly listen to is sonic youth and ministry nowadays. sometimes local hometown metal hero bands.

yep, out of non-disco, non-electronic stuff, I pretty much only listen to the hilarious punk bands from my hometown.

Oh and I've been listening to The 13th Floor Elevators and The Swans and Nick Cave particularly the song Tupelo.

West coast punk stuff like Adolescents, TSOL, Fear, Flipper etc. Good antidote for Italo overdoses.

I don't like any new bands, too much sarcasm and myspace.

+1 for sonic youth and the swans.  sonic youth are my favorite band of all time.  i got into the swans via the liner notes of E.V.O.L.  smile
