Topic: Program to calculate the value of your record collection
...if they're catalogued on discogs.
Not so accurate because it's based on current listed prices not previous sales, but still fun, give it a try:

easy, just devide the resulting figure by 2 and you're pretty close.
edit:
i just did this (discogs/2) and the figure is pretty much the same that i recently gave a friend who asked how much cash i'd blown on my records in the last couple of years.
then must have been a lot
and what about all the records that are listed on discogs but no one is selling them?
I exported a discogs list of the couple of hundred i've bothered to list. then just went through typing in rough prices i remember paying for things.
worrying answer and the moral is. a cheap record is a treat. but many cheap records and the occasional full price one all adds up over time !
i wonder if i have spent more on records or tattoos?
This is not fun unless you post also what this calculator gave for you Who is the first
my calculation gave this answer:
you truly out of your fucking mind!
wtf wtf wtf give me numbers
problem is that i have like 400 records that are marked price unavaiable, and can't put a price manually
but i'm already over 20 K in average price....
Imagine EliasRafael...
quite cool!
imagine jogi
i don't want to know about the value
have to categorize first, cause i just spend 2 hours looking for records
and i still didn't find them
yo know the feeling when you think you forgot them somewhere, or someone stole them?
about 26.000euro average.
well, at least my who's who is not calculated but 2 times at dc for sell.!?
ca. 140 w/out price calc. (the above mentioned incl.)
average almost 39000
272 without price
but some have crazy prices they'll never sell for..
you could live 2 years with that money in berlin wtf you should sell your records
I get some message about Java SE (SRE) that I have to install to run the program. Well, I'll leave it then... Don't really want to know anyhow, especially when it's based on discogsprices.
If I just calculate 5euro for each record I guess that evens out the most valuable and most cheap records in my collection.
records only take space you should make some money things are tough you know peepz
Imagine EliasRafael...
Or ItaloHeaven
I had an error notification too so I don`t bother BUT, if you want your value to raise, just put Modern Talking - Brother Louie* for sale for 9999999999999999 EUR
* = no hard feelings
It`s just not realistic, f.e. Universal Indicator Green, years ago it ALWAYS went for more than 250 or 300 euri on ebay, these days you can buy it for `only` 99 euri. Prices of vinyl have never been so low.
When i used this program I realised that I've got only my drum and bass catalogue archived. But already that had a minimum price of 1300 euro on only 92 releases
Releases so far: 7768
Min.value: 38.000
Max.value: 87.000
Avg.value: 58.000
without price: 256
Now I can compare a bit, atm I have for sale 5678 items, value: 40.000 EUR
ahhh this don't work on mac os x 10.4 apparently ... needs 10.5 or some new java or whatever. hmp..
I have the same on 10.5 ; It needs a newer java, but that's only available for 64bit Intel macs. On Vista it worked instantly.
3134954.56 euro
now post your addresses too
