Topic: Ibiza

Friend of mine just moved to the island and I'll visit him from Monday.

Any suggestions for nice (not to touristic) spots like restaurants, beaches maybe even a club..?

Also planned to go one day to Formentera.

Tnx.

Re: Ibiza

Finding not "touristic spots" in Ibiza sounds a little bit like finding  "not catholic place" in Vatican. ... good luck...never been there, but it's just a feeling (mybe i 'm wrong).

Re: Ibiza

i'm having my holidays at ibiza for the last three years (visiting a friend living there) and yes there are good non touristic spots there. the problem is that i can't remember many names of places i went to as the friend is taking me around so i don't bother memorising any names big_smile will try to remember some later..

for the start formentera is a must! my favourite beach is driving south towards es calo..the northern beaches are a bit crowded, while there are many smaller quieter ones before reaching the es calo beach.

clubs..well, this is a bit harder since all are very touristy. i usually go to space as can find some good music there. check http://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/club_dates_i.htm for parties, you might find something interesting.

beaches..well, will try to come up with some names a bit later. the one i remember well is playa de las salinas. it is a bit trendy but it's good to go there in the late afternoon for some sangria and a meal..expansive but worth it. ( http://www.satrinxa.com/ )

oh yes, mochitos are good everywhere i tried 'em!

it's the best to reserve. restaurant is really small, therefore not crowded. it's on the way to salines and cabaletts beaches. buen provecho!

Tnx for your information, smile
I'll definitely check the possibilities and my friend also might know some good spots.

And Formentera was for me the first plan for holidays but unfortunately all the hotels were already booked. So I 'll go definitely one day there. And try to go south as you recommended.
