Inspired by a thread on another forum I think we can put one to use here.

I got the "can you play something faster"?
I was playing Disco-House back in '97 at a party that ended up being packed with gangsters and knew he was requesting ghetto/booty tracks. I had to let him down til I finished my set.

Also got "can you play something I can feel"?
I nodded. Then just turned up the bass for a little bit.

Do it your way, because everyone else is just weird.

My top 1 was many years ago:
Girl: "could you play some music?"
Me: "i don't know, what do you call this you hear right now?" (I was playing trans-x livin on video)
Girl: "I don't know, electronic blippety blop?"
Me: "What do you want to hear then?"
Girl: "Soul and R&B."

Also I got requests for Barry Manilow and George Michael last night.

His excited eyes from within the dark interior glazed;
watered in appreciation of his thoughtful preparation.

Playing in one of my one-off 'everything goes' events, I had just segued Operation Ivy into The Specials when this drunken Norwegian girl loudly insisted I play 'Pearl Yam'.

'Surely you mean Pearl Jam', I somehow replied on impulse, drunk as fuck.
'NO! You got it all wrong', she stormed. 'I dont want Pearl Jam - I want Pearl Yam! Are you deaf?'

...yep - I'm still confused about this incident, even after 10 years!

Just playing some tunes, while I was working at a bar in a voku / diy restaurant  in Amsterdam

I think I was playing The Human league (Reproduction or Travelogue).
Then later I played something else, don't remember what exactly. She came back and said: "Je doet het erom he?" (You're pushing me right?)
Anyway, of course I just played stuff to annoy her.

Besides that, there are always some people who just ask for the wrong stuff at the wrong time.

I was doing a live pa at house party once with a drum machine, and two samplers and some drunk dude kept on requesting Brittany Spears Toxic. He wasn't being ironic, he was totally srs.
