I don't know if it's the right place to post it. Maybe it is, since it's something software related.

Richie Hawtin's Minus label developed a Twitter application for Traktor Pro that sends song info to the web, while DJing. So, if you are following Richie Hawtin on Twitter, you receive the gig's tracklisting, in real time.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous.

I really don't like Twitter. Now, all our dialogue is limited to 140 characters. It's sad, but it's the fact.

The discussion here should about the twitter app, not about hawtin.
I think that its a good idea if you're spinning with traktor, final scratch or whatever. Brings the listener closer to the artist who created it.

maybe - but surely realtime tracklists also take away from the pure magic of hearing a track you love, and just enjoying it for the moment.

I can't think of anything worse than a gig full of chinstroking guys all picking up their phones to see what the new track is everytime the DJ goes through a mix.
