always a great atmosphere the series, especially with tappert

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, -life- has surface noise..." [John Peel]

Re: R.i.p.

i grew up with that show, always watched it.. it used to be quite tame compared to american cop shows, but in the end that became its quality..

rest in peace, herr derrick..

Re: R.i.p.

no no, the yugo rocked in its own way.. like the ladas, trabants and skodas of the past, they were an interesting and cheap alternative for western cars.. these days, its almost impossible to tell one car from another.. at least you could spot a yugo a mile away.. big_smile

you can still see a lotta those cars on the Balkans smile

also Moskvich and Wartburg...you could buy a Trabant in Bulgaria for like 100 euro ahahaha

my dad had a red Skoda, so I called our band after it - Skoda 105L

@ e-control
cool, just turned on the tv... thanks for the hint!

.

Re: R.i.p.

yes, was very cool!

Re: R.i.p.

...am i the only one that thinks that derrick is the most overrated actor in the world...? (;))

Re: R.i.p.

No...I'm sure that there are two more! lol
Only kidding, Hermie.

Seriously though, what used to draw me towards Derrick when I was a kid were a number of facts. The storylines were easy to digest, Horst was an actor that you can somehow relate to, and the cars were wicked - especially if a Merc Grosser turned up from time to time. Add that to a touch of corny acting, and you have a cult series.

RIP, Derrick...

It is not only hime who made Derrick so special, but he was the best guy for that role/series. The episodes they brought on Saturday night on ZDF were so funny, esp. the one in the redlight milieu.

Reality is just a simulation

Re: R.i.p.

hehe, yeah and i love his style of authority, he can be very cynical that always makes me smile/laugh.
also harry klein often asks stupid questions or seems really dumb compared to stefan.

what i love in general, is not only the cool selection of music in many episodes, but that they often
work with silence, that has proven as an effective tool for "slow, creepy thrilling" also in horror movies..

Re: R.i.p.
