Topic: JP-8000: trouble arpeggiating a MIDI sequence

OK so I am running a sequence through the JP-8000 and when I turn the arpeggio on, it doesn't affect the sequence. I know on other synths there is a pre/post option that determines whether or not the arpeggio's being on or off will affect the sequence, but I can't seem to find that function on the JP. Anybody know I can get this to work?

MIDI SEQUENCE--------JP ARP ON---------NO ARPEGGIO---------:(

Re: JP-8000: trouble arpeggiating a MIDI sequence

Does the sequencer you use send out MIDI sync?

edit: MIDI clock should be on on the sequencer and the remote MIDI channel on the JP8000 should be the same as the sequencer part's one.

Re: JP-8000: trouble arpeggiating a MIDI sequence

Is there a MIDI clock option on the JP?

Re: JP-8000: trouble arpeggiating a MIDI sequence

No but a MIDI sync on/off in the System Parameter Functions, but I meant the MIDI clock should be on in the sequencer you use that sends out the MIDI sequencing DATA, I guess it wil still work when you have the MIDI sync off on the JP8000 to get a-rhythmic arpeggiator which don't make any sense but sound polyrhythmic.

Re: JP-8000: trouble arpeggiating a MIDI sequence

I had a lot of problems with that. Never worked it out.
I think it's only possible to use the arpeggio with the jp internal keys (tangents).
But please let me know if you work it out.
