Robots for Robots → Addicts → recommend me some music for a long flight
i'm leaving tuesday for a 20+ hour flight and i want to get some new music for the trip. i've been listening to tracks at itunes / beatport but i just can't find anything that interests me. it seems only shit music is being made nowadays. am i getting old? what are you guys listening to? genres electronic / rap / ambient / rock / pop / etc...

i could never listen to music on airplanes. it just never feels right. maybe if i had the pilots view it would be better. i usually end up listening to something beatless and instrumental, then take some sleeping pills with a whiskey and wake up ready for action at the other end.

japanese synchro system, i like their stuff a lot at the minute, has an atmosphere in lots of tracks suited to relaxing on a long journey

movies soundtracks, all the way there. Morricone, Schrifin, Giombini, all of them. I did this to my fight to NY, only 6 hous though. But it was so nice, specially the morricone westerns.
If you don't have enough of them, try also some italian library music: Luigi Zito, Bruno Nicolai, Daniela Casa, Sandro Brugnolini etc etc...

tbh....im not good at travelling, i hate it. I spend most of the time feeling sick, claustrophobic, and the seat are soo uncomfortable..sometimes i think i've got deep vein thrombosis in my arse.
I like to listen to ambient/dubby-techno...nothing too difficult

apparently if you wear molded attenuators and noise cancelling headphones turned a little louder than usual it eliminates all audible white noise from the engines while you listen in near silence. because with the degree of dynamic in most of this music mostly you will be hearing white noise.
