Re: Coolest Computermusic: Games etc.

really cool stuff!

i used to play some classic videogame soundtracks in my dj sets a few years ago. it's fun for a quick intermezzo but seriously lacks in the bass department...

Re: Coolest Computermusic: Games etc.

I still play Xenon 2 regularly on my PC when I want to blow off some steam

My alltime fav from the MOD scene... Purple Motion "Satellite One". The guy who made Scream Tracker.
Not sure if everybody here can play MODs so here is a crappy mp3 render:

Somebody was trying to tell me that CDs are better than vinyl because they don't have any surface noise. I said, "Listen, mate, -life- has surface noise..." [John Peel]

Re: Coolest Computermusic: Games etc.

@Madame Strobonoid

Those cracker demo's were often cooler than the game they cracked! smile It were often nice cover-version of pophits but I recon there must be C64-versions of discosongs we like here at R4R... I've still got loads of 5,25inch-disks with C64-games but my old C64 is very hard to revive again I'm afraid so I have to it with the youtube-clips which are also fun, right?

edit:

@e-control

You found some nice cracker-intro's...some of them really rock!

Test Drive 2: The Duel

Cool intro.

The Last V8: what about those samples? big_smile

Streets Of Rage (my favourite game on Sega Megadrive): the intro

and it had a nice endsequence too (skip the first 40 seconds)

Toy Bizarre. I like the short intromusic. The game was (is) also nice to play.

Re: Coolest Computermusic: Games etc.

He he. The streets of rage intro starts off sounding like enigma then goes all new jack swing.
