Re: District 9

i dont know, doesnt seem all that interesting to me. nice spaceship, nice that it takes place in south africa but apart from that... trailer doesnt do it for me.

Re: District 9

I saw District 9 tonight. This movie is amazing! The best movie I have seen in years! The trailer does not give much away and there hasn't been much hype (maybe I didn't notice). This movie will blow your mind...my friends & I haven't stopped talking about it. It will make you feel sick to be a human being. Totally awesome.

Music is a beautiful opiate, if you don't take it too seriously.

I totally share your opinion San. A brilliant Megablast, and a true reflexion what Mankind !mostly! is: A "high-tech" bunch of social stupid, competitive, cold hearted, selfish, ignorant, brutal, racist beings. BIG UP for District 9 and thanx to: Neill Blomkamp (Writer, Screenplay), Terri Tatchell (Writer, Screenplay) and Peter Jackson (for producing District 9).

Re: District 9

its blasted apart the US box office. Which is surprising for a new director and little known cast. Most of it down to Peter Jackson bank rolling it and the smart ads they through up everywhere.

Ill be checkin this out soon. Looks right up my street.

Re: District 9

I thought it was pretty good.  I usually like scifi/fantasy movies though.

I'll see the sequel if and when they make it.

I got no message out of the movie as it seems to contradict itself in every way
also, i harbor no collective guilt

so you have seen it?

you don't have to like it, thats cool..  I does have it's flaws, but it's a welcome change to the usual hollywood blockbuster.

Re: District 9

Haha as a matter of fact it was towards the end of the movie when I wrote my above review on the 23rd big_smile

Re: District 9

looks good, been waiting a while for a decent sci-fi (i hope)

Re: District 9

Just been to see this and really rather enjoyed it and it wasn' t your usual USA kicks the universe' s arse for a change. Some great CGI that doesn' t overpower the film and I get the feeling District 10 won' t too long in the pipeline.

Re: District 9

wtf was that?
aliens visiting earth for no reason just to be put in concentration camps for 20 years. they have superior technology, that no human can understand, yet they act like brainless wild creatures demolishing everything and trading their technology for a cat food instead of just telling people they need to repair their ship and they'll be gone.
waste of time...

Re: District 9

its entertainment, who needs to overanalyze.
