Topic: Sick of Facebook?

I am. Just made the decision to quit using the site. Haven't yet deleted my account but I'm heavily thinking about it.

I have a very hard time taking it seriously and just end up taking the piss out of everything there and being ironic. Most people of course assume I am being serious and weird. Screw that shit, call me if you want to talk to me and we'll go a cafe. It's always the same people typing the same shit, I went to work today, I cleaned my baby's ass today, blah blah you are boring go away.

Re: Sick of Facebook?

i've closed my account a few times now but have re-opened it on occasion to see messages from people i genuinely would want to make contact with. i sense i will be closing again quite soon simply because it's a big pile of non-directional self gratifying garbage not to mention it's sinister higher purpose.. (besides my email, 0% of my personal info on there is true).

btw. is it possible to truly delete the account? i don't think so.

Re: Sick of Facebook?

a backup of your data will be sent to FBI and KBG prior to account deletion.

wanna stay in contact? use email/phone/smoke signals. it's not *that* hard.

Re: Sick of Facebook?

wanted to add you for some synical remarks, but to many Heifetz's...

Re: Sick of Facebook?

I can chat in work about music and send videos I thought that was what its for ?

A paranoid is someone who knows a little of whats really going on.

Re: Sick of Facebook?

I'm thinking about committing myspace suicide for the whole shitload of accounts I've got for nearly every musical thing I do

on the other hand: maybe not...

Re: Sick of Facebook?

i'm not on facebook, and it's ok, you can survive

Re: Sick of Facebook?

but twitter is even worse than facebook

are there actually people who write something worthwhile to read there?

Re: Sick of Facebook?

Iranians tried

Re: Sick of Facebook?

yeah, but the "twitter revolution" never really worked, did it?

closed it temporary cause nobody listens to me.
i mean when i got touched by something beautifull on youtube, i made the link
and nobody cared ( why 100 or whatever so called friends? )
it's about sharing right..? but there's nothing to share for me there
cause everybody is to busy with himself

Re: Sick of Facebook?

What a bunch of chumps
Next thing you know you'll be buying distortion pedals for your thousand dollar synthesizers

Re: Sick of Facebook?

not a thing for me somehow. I only signed up and added friends that I long lost conact with. I kind of tried to explore what useful or fun can be done there for a while, I somehow miss the point of just writing what I have for dinner today ar that I am going shopping yoohoo. maybe I'm just not as web2.0-socialble as most of the market or something, I don't really buy it.
