It's fun to read about music etc but not everyone is a musicfreak, I know a lot of of good people who are not into music so it's good for keeping contact there. I'm just picky on who I accept as a "friend", just clean it up once a month: those who don't ever say anything to you, which probably means they added you to have more friends in their list: kick them out, it's simple.

yeah, just keep your news feed clean and make some lists to organize your "friends". I think there will be some more advanced filter settings, e.g hide all quizzes ,in the future, so it will get better by the time.
Some good friends provide me with some good laughs on a regular basis, thats why I like facebook. Plus I joined some nice "events" me or some of my friends have been invited to, which otherwise I would have totally missed.

just wanted to add that I'll delete my account soon as part of a protest, because of activist profile's against the cuts in the uk had been mass deleted in the run-up to the royal wedding.
