Nice! I am only listening now with crappy computer speakers, but it sounds as if the vocoder can sound better in this mix.
Yep superb oldschool feel. I see the vocoder more as rythmic so I like its manic indistinctness.

I usually see the vocoder as a substitute for a lead synth or something along that way..
(And I've yet to find the perfect carrier for it..)
I didn't mean that you've used the vocoder in a wrong way. That's all up to you. I meant, that it sounded as if you could cut a little bit lowend in order to place the sound better in the mix. Mind you, I was just listening with pc speakers.
