if you haven't watched it back then: x-files seasons are very cheap now
and if you can switch your brain off then "trailer park boys" is a great series...

e,r - yeah im no big fan of cruise either, but somehow he was he least annoying about vanilla sky, which probably says even m0re about how bad that movie is
Meschi - you could also go for homicide - life on the street, although there are many episodes that can well be skipped it has a good vibe to it and worth watching. There is also stuff like the outer limits and twilight zone...maybe even freddies nightmares (many episodes are hard to find though) since youre a horror bot? Theres also the original x-files: Kolchak the nightstalker. But for gods sake dont start on milennium, youll just keep watching until the end of season 2 and kick yourself realizing not even a handful episodes were good

ja, those guys are pretty cool! actually i didn't even know that series until some weeks ago when i saw it on dutch tv!
just figured out that they show it on demax here in germany, have to watch it next time!

Ghostbusters - Been years since i saw it, and i must say that it really still is great. I got a lot more of the jokes now and found it even better than my memory of it. But the movie ends too quickly though, the endscene is far too short. I remember it as much longer
Swimming Pool - Im not really even gonna waste too much time slagging this off, cause its just so pretentious and boring movie. I cant actually beleive that this goes for being a psychological thriller, how the hell does that work? And people who finds the story to be genius should really get their head out their asses...
Just before dawn - Crappy b-slasher that i actually had some expectations for. Gotta learn not to have that towards these kinda flicks, but it was hard with this as it actually is praised by many even non-horror fans. Bottomline is that it sucks and is nothing special
