Topic: Auckland, New Zealand

Hello robots & robettes,

I came to Auckland to live with my girlfriend for a while, maybe forever, and I was wondering if any of you is from here? And are there any nice places to go out and listen to our kind of music? So far all I've seen here is drumm&bass mania, which is definetly not my thing. I know I-F and others sometimes come here when on tour, so that gives me a glimmer of hope smile

Recloose lives in NZ, there is definitely hope. Some of the music coming out of NZ is fantastic, it has a long and rich history in that regard. I have never been to Auckland but have heard good things. Like most small places though the scene is probably pretty tight and tricky to break into. The key is to meet a few cool people and it all gets easier.

I have been to New Zealand last January and stayed for a couple of days in Auckland. Drum and bass is indeed very popular. Check out Concord Dawn.
