Shpongle is a well-known goatrance production duo.
Im not really into it but i do like some Hallunicogen stuff thats from one member of Shpongle.

God, this stuff is SO popular on a mushroom cultivation forum I know and periodically people will post a thread about how they are just getting into "techno" thanks to their friend playing some while they were tripping...and this is what they mean--Shpongle. It's probably not without its merits but it's so wrapped up with horrible drug culture cliches that I just can't be objective about it at all.

I'll let you know next time I hear they're playing. They play at these insane cyber hippie events upstate with like Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh and Friends and other jam bands

ha, yes. Infected Mushroom is the other one they all like, I forgot.
They also play this music at the "full moon solstice celebration of uranus" parties at the COSM, Alex Grey's place. He's a 'visionary artist' as they say.

It's definitely another world...the one that's on the other side of the proverbial looking glass.

infected mushroom is ridiculously popular in Sydney...he (they?) seems to play here all the time and like the amount of hype is ridiculous. I can't say i've listened but I think that really puts me off giving it a try haha.

I don't mind some goa / psychedelic / whatever you call it stuff...I dont mind if I hear a little somewhere though I don't really know much about artists or anything either.
I remember when I was a kid listening to hallucinogen a lot but when I relistened to the album a year or 2 ago it didn't interest me at all

they do like crazy festivals with tons of hippy kids in colorado.. man.. this is some other world stuff.. if i go it will be like some kind of cultural tourism.. like when i visited the scientology celebrity center..
