she achieved total surprise! we've just had an really nice dinner with her friends at their fav place and we had left the others and were on our way to a place where we could dance when we sat there on the tram.
i wasn't really paying attention the moments before i got the text. maybe i did see her holding her mobile and thinking she was texting someone else or i saw nothing. all i can remember now is how i pick up my mobile and totally confused i find myself re-reading the sender name and body of the message several times before i can understand what just happened and i feel a jolt in my chest after the seconds of confusion have past, i turn my head and i see her blushing a little bit while her beautiful smile and eyes are fixed on me with her chin slightly dropped to her chest...
my brain is bypassed long before this and i get rid of the mobile as fast as i can and put my hands behind her neck and kiss her then i put my forehead against hers and look her in the eyes while we're both smiling then i kiss her again and again..
if i wasn't so surprised i guess i could have written something back to her right there but the way the situation was, words were not the right course of action. no words either written or spoken, just eyes smiles and kisses and the sounds and lights of downtown gotham by night.
