Topic: Speaker question

Hi

I just got an set of old 70's (?) Fischer speakers and when I try to play anything through my external sound card (Novation Nio) I notice the output is not super loud. Connection-wise - RCA out of the card and individual RCA plugs on the back of each speaker. On the back label it says "8 Ohm Common Wires (with two meaningless arrows), the cables seem newer than the speakers.

I've been looking for an amp/receiver on Ebay but am baffled by the connectors I see on the back of the units. What should I be looking for considering the above?

I'm not an audiophile so I'm just looking for something compatible to boost the signal and maybe plug in an old technics another friend found in a dump.

Any help is greatly appreciated smile

Re: Speaker question

any 70's, 80's or 90's amp(make sure it has line  and phono inputs, most off them have) will do fine for your case, plug your outs of your soundcart to the line input of the amp and the speaker outputs goes to your speakers
