Re: Lego thread

Polish artist.

Quote: From a series of LEGO sets designed by Polish artist Zbigniew Libera. Each box contains the blocks necessary to build the figures and structures on its lid. When Libera requested the LEGOs from the company's Warsaw representative, he planned to create sets for a prison and a hospital, but the project evolved into a concentration camp. According to a press release issued by the LEGO Group, "If the had described his ultimate project to us in advance, he naturally would not have received a single LEGO element from us!" The sets were on display in March at the Galleri Faurschou in Copenhagen.

Re: Lego thread

He created some stuff himself adding to wht he got from LEGO.

Zbigniew Libera only made three copies of these sets. They were sold for $7,500.00 each in the mid-1990s.

Re: Lego thread

what a pimp..and he got those legos probably for free

Re: Lego thread

There are perfectly good officer's hats in lego. Why did he use space helmets for the soldiers? that annoys me.

Re: Lego thread

:-)

Re: Lego thread

This stuff was on the old lego thread, i dont get it really its kind of a dis towards lego and the fact he didnt tell lego what he was excatly making when he requested the pieces, then sais sponsored by lego, sneaky nob!. Yep and why did he use helmets instead of hats!.
