There is no new technologies to make new and interesting sounds?
We are old and heard it all and nothing impresses us like when we were young and discovering?

none of the shit you can dump on me will ever get me to not like making music anymore, also i'm not looking for something new but something of my own which to me i already have and is some sort of hybrid of many influences.
i just do what i do cause i still love powering up the gear and push some buttons.
because it's all about hedonism now, instead of being creative.
i think bias is just a bot that's programmed to post "just download the mp3 instead of buying it" 
to contribute something on topic, albeit small - why is there so much pessimism regarding new music? who cares if something isn't truly revolutionary any more, doesn't mean that it's not possible to still make stuff that's good and enjoyable, music that borrows all the great elements of stuff that was a revolution in the past, but puts its own spin on it.
well, i don't care, there's enough good new stuff coming out that i like anyway...
I still think Clone is full of newness that I like a lot.
When I go to 20JFG I often come across newness that is hot.
Locally maybe not so much, but I still haven't really gone out that much or hunted.

theres 8 billion blues records alone all on the same schematics still they rock for a lot of people.

like saying everybody copies dopplereffect which i even agree on, but his early stuff just sounded like a half assed kraftwerk (and still i bought those and still like them).
I've been more and more interested in the phenomenon of Harsh Noise Walls coming from the noise scene. Not because it is particularly new or innovative, but it has a philosophy:
“no dynamics, no change, no development, no ideas”
as someone who likes all those things, it's totally fascinated me. Sound wise it's like someone has amplified a hoover. Sometimes the hoover sounds great.
I suppose what I'm trying to say is if you're bored of what you normally listen to and feel there is nothing there for you anymore look somewhere else...

i wonder if there's less quality music these days, it's just that there's a lot more crap you have to go through finding the good stuff
I think people are too obsessed with finding the "important"/"defining" artists and feel the compulsion to endlessly make value judgements with their comparisons.
I think just listening and basking in obsolescence is better.
Bias and his mp3 fixation, "do something new" lazy reactionary tactics is bullshit. If he feels the need to listen to something 'new', then read some hipster blog/magazine and be content with their 'new' hype. Otherwise he can go on an expedition and then report back when he finds something *actually* NEW instead of sounding like a whiny and scratched record without offering anything worthwhile.

yeah that's exactly it, he never contributes anything that's actually worthwhile, it's just posts that seem to be controversial just for the sake of it.

I'm a crap DJ too so thats probably why I like them.
But they have really exposed me to some newer music that I wouldn't have heard through any other means.

yea, i think there is as much nice new stuff and same old crap as there always was.
I like lots of new music, Clone puts out quality stuff and some of the current (deep) house stuff is great. For sure there's still creativity ..
