>thanks for the mix flemming
Hey Marco thx
>Ruddy marvelous.
>No doubt Flemmings inbox is hitting critical with ID requests.
Cheers Don – already some “heavy action” in my inbox
>grreat!!
>tracklisting this one's gonna be one big easter egg hunt...
Thanks D..... but mostly wellknown stuff tho
>I'm only 30 minutes into listening to the mix but it sounds good so far.
>Very well mixed as always
>(sometimes I would actually like it to be not as smooth
> don't get me wrong, but I'd like a bit more
>"going on" if you know what I mean: more daring transitions and more vocal parts)
Hey Gustaf – Thanks for your feedback....
I noticed your good point regarding the smoothness – gonna give it a thought...
>Flemming could possibly go on forever playing "italo that's not from Italy".
>I guess he owns all of them too
Yes
>Total Toly, Mozzart, Cappella (was it Helyom Halib I heard?) and so on.
Correct – well ok Cappella and Helyom Halib is not included
>I consider them kinda italo although I know they are perhaps not made by italian artists or
>originally released on italian labels.
Yes interesting.
I’ve often noticed the same oppinion here in Denmark, mostly amongst younger italo freaks or collectors...
I fully respect this view / position – no problem at all.
“There must be room for us all”...
But to me Mike Mareen, Bobby O, Fancy, Gino S., Patrick C...etc...etc. has nothing to do with italo !
.....it German disco, Euro disco, Canadian disco etc...etc.. sorry
Well ok i must admit that the style/sound is kind of similar to original italo...do doubt...but still no italo for me.
Hehe sorry again I AM a freak
>Excellent mixing and selection.
>And making a 155 minute mix as good as this one deserves some extra respect.
>Thanks man!
Thanks
>Damn, Annie Anner's "The Human Race" at 1:20 something (?) is such a slick track.
>I haven't heard it in years (but I do own the vinyl - in two copies if I remember it correctly)
I’ve just recieved a request from a local friend regarding the Annie Anner 7inch – please PM me if you still have an extra copy for sale
>Edit: And "Body machine" by Adolphson-Falk somewhere at the end - I didn't see that one coming...
Well I think they made some great tracks – and I wanted to include one of them in a mix for some time.
> definitely checking it, cheers!
Cheers Jacderida
> Yes, huge selecting/editing work with that definitive FD imprint indeed ..
>Some serious flirting with Italo moments however haha..
Cheers P
Hehe well yes .... kind of similar to the original italo sound
Actually i started out with selecting only harder records in my collection...
– but after some time I stumbled over more and more disco records....and I "got trapped"
I hope the big variation in different styles will make the mix “more interesting” or easy for the audience.
(maybe greater accessibility)
>Thxxx and bravo Mr Flemming !
Merci
Cheers to Leo S, Karamanga, Sham, Bobby D. and Triton
> Played it like ten times already and it is absolutely insane.
>"If you had to go living on the moon and you
>could bring only one mix with you ... "
>I'd take this one for sure.
>The way you compressed "Sit On Acid" into just two beats,
>beefed up "L&O Even Now to something better
>than it already was, the way you gave the whole mix such a
>distinct signature while hardly using any Italo
>is truly jawdropping.
>Man this is deadly material! Top notch job Flemming !!
Thanks a lot JM – you know I’m very insprired of many of your great mixes….. so actually I wanted to make a new beat mix for a long time…. This one was first intented to be in that style…but this mix kind of ”grew on me”…. And almost got ”out of controle” into this ”exploiration” in 80ies sounds …heheh
>this mix is cool as hell and i'm only 10 minutes in!
Thanks Bankie P
Btw love your stuff man !…. I must try to make those amazing flash? posts once…
> hehe flemming the freak, cool picture too
Word Jay – “Once a freak always a freak”
