Central Scotland in travel meltdown, complete gridlock everywhere...got sent home from work early aswell, took 3 1/2 hours to drive home in 1st gear shitting my pants, normal takes 25 min. Madness sad

i got a lift to castlemilk then abandoned ship and walked it from there, luckily i don't live too far from there.

there were abandoned cars all over the streets, some of the roads where the snow had melted a bit were just like sheet ice.

i'm hoping the freezing cold tonight will cause the ice to stick and the buses to be off tomorrow...

Yesterday in the morning it was about 19 degrees and in the evening about 1.

Now its cold as hell , dark and windy. And they say its gonna be one of the harshest winters in the last, i dont know how many years.

these were the streets of glasgow last night - like an ice rink!

as it's starting to get warmer now, the snow is melting away and leaving this treacherous ice underneath. no matter though, in a couple of days it'll all be gone!

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuckkkkkk!!! after being free for nearly 2 weeks, a flurry of snow means that we wake up to probably about 5 or 6 inches of it this morning sad sad sad

edit - when outside, in actual fact there's only about 2 inches, but it's still annoying! smile
