The season is nearly over and the Road to Rimini boys are linking the Tanners and Star and Shadow for a final Auf Wiedersien to the summer. An all dayer of sorts, the music will start at 6pm in the Tanners with DJs, live acts, a beefed up sound and a BBQ on the roof terrace if you need sustaining for the night ahead! The party will continue over the road at the newly revamped Star and Shadow with more live acts and a suitable soundtrack provided by the hosts and their guests until 4am!

For this Bank Holdiay speciale the Rimini fraternity are bringing up a whole gang of London folk up North; live performances from Gold Blood and The One and Disk Jockeying support from World Unknown, Bodyhammer administrator Joe Hart.

Gold Blood are Michael Wright and Emile Bojesen. A duo that on paper should never be performing together; Emile cut his teeth in the South East Hardcore punk scene as a vocalist and Michael produces and performs slow-mo disco cuts as Brassica with numerous releases on the Dissendent and Cyberdance labels as well as a forthcoming e.p on the Berlin based Nocturnes.

Brought together through a mutual friend they formed Gold Blood just under a year ago. Gold Blood's music breaks the mould of the synth pop duo - it evokes the spirit of early Mute acts like Fad gadget and Nitzer Ebb - as a performance, front man Emile brings the raw energy of hardcore metal/punk whilst Michael provides an equally frantic mix of broody synths and high octane rhythms that could happily sit alongside 80s german bands such as DAF or Liaisons Dangereuses.

They've recently been hammering the circuit in London and have just released a five track e.p Twilight Language on Mancunian label Human Shield. The style mags have been raving about them, the blogs are up in arms, 'next big thing' is mentioned but up here in the North we don't care much for that; it's body music that will get people moving and the Star and Shadow will be a perfect setting.

The One are another emerging duo from the big smoke and they'll be tugging the heart strings in the Tanners for a live performance that will offer delicate nods to the Chicago House of Robert Owens/Larry Heard and the 80s soul of Jam & Lewis, Alexander O’Neal and the like. The One are drummer Joe Ryan and vocalist Emerson Nwolie.

As well as promoting and organising his Bodyhammer night in the disused office and retail outlets of SE1 Joe Hart works with Andy Blake (head honcho of the dearly departed Dissident label) producing the clandestine Brixton party World Unknown. A consumate professional and all round good guy Joe will be free riding the National Express to Gallowgate with a 100 weight of vinyl, a 1965 Daily Express guide to Newcastle upon Tyne and a playlist that the Hotmix5 would be proud of.
