Oh, sad songs can help you easy the pain, don't they? I like to listen to some, once in a while (it all depends in what state you're in) but no overdose, like on this thread, indeed.

"Are you loving?"

Re: Sad Songs

This music to the movie Raging Bull (the images go well with it). I thought it was by the Italian composer Albinoni.

Also a lot of other classical music can be very sad (and again beautiful at the same time).

"Are you loving?"

Re: Sad Songs

@Scarface: it's the intermezzo from the opera Cavalleria Rusticana, by Mascagni. I absolutely love that piece, the harps after those swellng strings, beautiful...

heard a three second clip from this during the Jean-Luc godard Histoires du cinema documentary, and it was enough to make me want to pick up the album. This is the saddest thing on it I think. melancholic piano thingy

Re: Sad Songs

Re: Sad Songs

@Totttieheid. Thanks for pointing out about the composer. wink

I was confused by this piece I think (also quite sad):

"Are you loving?"

Re: Sad Songs

never forget

Re: Sad Songs

Man, I could go on and on with those classical sad songs... This one got me after seeing the movie:

"Are you loving?"

Re: Sad Songs

classical music on youtube is about as distasteful as you can get but f**k it...
this builds astonishingly to a tragic finale:

Re: Sad Songs
