Re: Sad Songs

So it's almost eastern so I went to sniff up some culture by going to a live-performance of Bach's Matthäus Passion. Now that has got some very sad (and again very  beautiful!) parts!

Very famous ofcourse.

@ Scarface
"This really can be bring a tear to me eye. sad"

@Queen Of Blood

Striving (and in the end failing) for Hollywood-stardom (you could make another bottomless thread of them ;-) has been a fruitful source for many sad songs. Didn't know those version by Sisters Of Mercy: they make those songs more rough-edged...nice!

Well since bringing this up.....some more for the "boulevard of broken dreams":

"Didn't know those version by Sisters Of Mercy: they make those songs more rough-edged...nice!"
-> oh, they even did some more cover versions (also more rough-edged). actually they fit in here too, so...

only discovered the sisters like two weeks after this concert... still pisses me off that i missed them back then.

Re: Sad Songs

playing this sad one on repeat lately, imo the best track of Deux

also like this raw cassette version slightly more than that on the re-issue.

If I would have known that I wouldn't hesitate to book a flight and do a little weekend trip to Belgium sad
I was on the Di6 website to look at tour dates, but they weren't updated since 2005, so I assumed he wasn't touring anymore...
