Just booked our flights for this, can't wait!! However, I'm worried now after reading tonight about the Berghain door policy. Can anyone confirm if its as bad as it looks after reading various forums. We're only going to Berlin for the IFM party, would hate to not get into the club!!!

Basically, if you keep quiet, keep your English / native language to a minimum or at least quiet, and basically don't act like a drunk tourist you'll be fine.
Not that I go to that club very often, but I'll be at this night

you should also avoid waiting in a big group I think.

That shit really pisses me off.
I can understand if you're drunk and falling about them not letting you in, but me and a mate got rejected from a Berlin club purely cause the fact that it was two guys. We were sober, smiling and looked very presentable!

edit: bare in mind, that I've never been to panaramabar, I don't know if its an elitist thing, and I don't actually know the door policy; it may be very reasonable... but it sounds like a dreadful door...
What club was it Meschi? I never had problem entering Pano myself, just be sober and confident .. After getting in you can get wasted

It was a tiny wee place, next to some scaffolding (thats clearly not going to be there anymore) right in the centre of town

Thanks for the replies Bots. It's not really eased the worry as I've read some real horror stories on the net about the Berghain and their bouncers. After not being able to make the IFM party on the Stubnitz last year due to the change of date, after forking out for travel, I'd hate to miss another one due to a bouncer not liking the look of my face or the sound of my voice.
Apparently the Berghain door policy adds to the allure of the club. I'm not so sure about that one myself!

Be great if you could make it Kara, make it a double birthday celebration. Me and John are going over to celebrate my 40th and what better way to celebrate than not being admitted to the club night you've flown over for because you weren't being quiet and had the audacity to speak in your native tongue whilst queuing. Grrr.
