Topic: Complete PPG for sale in Switzerland (not by me)

All,

I was just hopping around local advertisements for music gear here in .ch and look what came out:

The price is 7000 CHF (around 5500 EUR) for everything...

it is worth it?

I am not really sure if it is worth the investment....

What do you think, it is just a collector's item nowadays or is still worth using for making music? I only had a PPG Wave
for a week some years ago and I liked it... what improvements the waveterm and the other things give?
The temptation is great... as well as the cost of the whole bunch tongue

by reading around it seems that 5500 EUR is quite a low price for such collection...
I'm tempted more and more tongue

now, what I am going to sell to finance this bunch of blue boxes?
Parting with half of the modules of the A100? the G2X? the JX3P with the PG200?
But I am not one of those that sells and buys... I did in the past and I always regretted it tongue

I have Wave 2,3 and waveterm B ....... great sounding synth and sampler!!!

I love its sound.. not just good... ITS awesome or new music... I need to upgrade my os to v8.3
also I want EVU!!! smile 

EVU is PPG in a rack .... I WANT one cause waveterm can connect up to 7 devices..

thats a very cool deal ,man.. those waveterms are rare as hell, and working ones even rarer..its essentially a sampler for the ppg system. fuck, if i had the money, i'd drive to switzerland for that system!

An update from the seller: the EVU is already gone. And he is already waiting for a french guy that wants to pick all the
remaining stuff.

Now I am wondering whether without the EVU everything is still worth that money...

And he says that the Waveterm is not booting...

I'm not that convinced any longer that it could be a good deal...

what do you think?

I'd talk him way down. Especially with the Waveterm not booting.

The EVU was the shiniest prize of the bunch. So maybe offer him the equivalent of 2000-2500 USD for the rest.

I know that the guy owns as well a Waldorf Wave that *maybe* he is going to sell, what could be the street price for this other behemot of a machine?
