Re: the broken hearts club

You know how songs very hevily embed memories and emotions inside them, like ambient gets me to the moon and house music to a summery beach.

My ex used to listen a lot of pet shop boys, guess if it is hard for me to listen to them now wink

Continuing with being a pussy and emo and whatever you're gonna call me, i actually did it what i'd never ever thought i'd do and what i had cosidered a waste of time before. The girliest thing ever, i started writing a journal. But before you smash me down with an anvil of macho bullshit, i'm going to say that i will write it with a very analytic grip.

I will hunt that woman down from my brain and heart and rip her the fuck out of there and learn to be happy alone. If it means deep study of my own self or rearrangement of my personality, then so be it.

Re: the broken hearts club

The Pet Shop Boy-song went through my head when thinking about this topic. It helps me to put things in perspective when emotions get the upper hand.

Actually I think it's a healhty thing to think about heartache etc. or anything for that matter. It means you got self-awareness. Nothing "emo" (I never use that word anyway) about that. I wish you much wisdom with your selfanalysis.

Re: the broken hearts club

The world is full of lonely people
Who never held onto love
Last night I tried to reach you
But somehow it wasn't enough

So I said, can't you wait any longer
I'll give you all that a lover should give
It ain't my pride but my love that is stronger
I'll be hurt; I'll be hurt, if you walked away

Too many broken hearts in the world
There's too many dreams can be broken in two
Too many broken hearts in the world
So I won't give up the fight for you

cuties don't exert

Re: the broken hearts club

this broken heart thing is getting silly

man up guys, it happens, and not just once.
your ex girlfriends will go through the same shite at some stage so stop thinking you have a monopoly on the heartache and they have an amazing life without you

even when you do find that special someone, they still don't make life perfect, that has to start with you, yourself and yours

smoke cigarettes in the meantime. in particular roll ups with licorice papers. 10 mins of pleasure to take your mind off the bad stuff. seriously, it works

keep hackney crap

I myself am determined to get over all this shite and trying to "man up" all the time, doubting hardly if that expression is even something i wanna use on this context.
I started this thread for us to share and talk about this stuff. And complain and cry or whatever is needed for that matter, as this stuff started to flood the other thread.

What i think is silly, is that apparently talking about this stuff invokes so many reactions of recommending others to suck it up or man up or take it like a man etc. As a finn, i'm used to males talking about hard emotional stuff very rarely or when drunk and shutting off their feelings, but i think it's very unhealthy to be like that, especially when something really shitty happens.

Think about it for a while, how extremely traumatizing experience it can be to lose someone so special. As i said earlier, i really consider this shit for many parts just as horrible as if a close friend or a relative of mine died. Some people go through exessive amounts of therapy for that stuff to get well. Some get well by themselves while some don't. And they who don't, probably just decide to "take it like a man" and lock it up somewhere deep inside. You don't have to be a psychologist to know that that is really unhealthy for your mind.

I know that this stuff happens to everyone, but that doesn't lessen the impacts these kind of events do to people.

The more people can unravel this stuff, even in a robotic electro music culture forum, the better.

And even tough i really enjoy being again free to flirt with girls, i strongly disagree it curing anything.
Who do you flirt with if you lose a friend?

Fossa, there is nothing wrong with talking about love related stuff and the pain it sometimes brings but perhaps not on a public forum I guess.
A broken heart needs time to heal but the healing process shouldn't be a full-time job because that's unhealthy. That's what most of us are trying to tell I think. And that also includes staying open for other women f.e. We only live once you know. And what Byron says isn't macho, he's absolutely right when he says that our ex-girlfriends will also go to that kind of shit at some point in their lifes. I've had a broken heart a couple of times in my life but that also goes in the other direction: I've broken many hearts too. That's the way it goes.
