Re: Lindstr

I heard it, extremely boring... like 95% of this norwegian neo-disco thing .. Todd Terje is the only one who stands out a little, oh and lindstr

Re: Lindstr

Agreed

Re: Lindstr

I just played it in the car just now, very loud. I kinda liked it actually.

Re: Lindstr

I'm not feeling it.

Do it your way, because everyone else is just weird.

Re: Lindstr

pure average

Re: Lindstr

agree with flick about the 95 %

exceptions are : http://www.discogs.com/release/257443

and the "i feel space" one, is nice too but becomes boring after the break
when it turn from neo disco to euro trance big_smile

I don't agree
i think from his own, early output it's more like 30% (not including the last few, they were boring)
but back in 2004 he was one of the niceest things around, and i loved IFS back then, yes it's a party track, and
wears off on you after a few listens but it was a great party track, and the b-side was allright too
I agree that since 2005 that whole neodisco sound has been taken a turn for the worse, and there
is hardly anything intresting coming out no more!(and it's not just Norway)
Terje stuff is good, but other then Eurodans, it's mostly edits, quiet a few of which are just too crustie for me.
(untill i go on to grow a beard and smoke weed), i can live without an edit of the Doors/Paul Simon/Age of  Aquarius in my collection. from the couple of sets of his i've heard - he's a good dj w a very smooth vibe

Re: Lindstr

could be true e,r
maybe i didn't hear them all
but the ones i listened on the flexx, clone site were boring
and about terje dunno not really into that either ( incl eurodans )
i bought the first full poep
but i never touched it again

but i remember a track from lindstrom, the one with the long title ( drunken lady bla bla bla )
that one was nice

Re: Lindstr

His releases just sound really lazy now. Almost like Villalobos. "I Feel Space" is still a classic and I like "Breakfast In Heaven." His jazzy stuff is really boring and lazy and cheesy. That one with the supernature line just goes on way too long. Could have done all his tricks in 6 mins. I bought the first few norwegian records but don't buy any anymore.

I mean I guess if you're a kid (under 25) they might sound really amazing. But I grew up listening to TD, Jarre, Kraftwerk, Neu, Moroder soundtracks and billions of synth pop and disco songs so as far as I'm concerned they're not as talented or groundbreaking as people think. To me it's all in the same rut that minimal techno and garage house have fallen into. And fraud might be a strong word but I'll say it anyway.

Re: Lindstr

It seems that nowadays it is very hard to come up with some captivating melodies, stuff that really "touches" you in a way. They just recycle old stuff or come up with something lame. That does not prevent a lot of producers from publishing music.

Jodleknappen is nice.

And i think it's funny that most negative posters here think they talk about absolute truth. *kuch*

ppl may think i act like a pig, but in the end i look cute !

I think it's funny that some 'positive' poster here thinks he/she knows what other people think. Nobody of these 'negative' posters say that they tell the absolute truth.. they just state their opinion on some music made by some artist..
