Robots for Robots → Random media → Good Stand-Up Comedians
I don't watch or see a lot of stand up comics anymore and I've never been to a 'comedy show' i think it'd just be too embarrassing for the comedian if he wasn't funny and of course my money would be wasted.
Can anyone recommend any good stand up comics or more specifically some good stand up video/movies that I can watch? I have loved the old Jerry Seinfeld classic stand up as well as Zak Galashfoifhasnkis and Ricky Gervais' stuff.
Mitch Hedberg, Dave Chappelle, Richard Pryor, Tom Rhodes, Eddie Murphy, Louis CK, Joe Rogan, Bill Burr, Patton Oswald, Brian Posehn, Maria Bamford just to name a few. 
Bill Hicks
Definitely the best. Although I don't really see him as a comedian, more as a philosopher/preacher who chose comedy as his medium.
George Carlin holds a strong second place in my book.
Eddie Izzard. Best.

Bill Hicks is Nr. 1.
Make sure you find some material about him if you missed him. In London I saw (in 2005) 'Bill Hicks- Slight return' performed by Chas Early which was pretty damn good. At that time I had seen a lot of performances of Bill on the screen.
Even though Bill Hicks died in 1994 I feel lucky I saw his return in 2005!
