it sounds pretty sweet too! smile

the hi-hats are really sharp and crispy. In general it sounds a little bit like an 808/606 but more acoustic ... the snare is a bit cr78-ish and the cymbal is fat! Bassdrum decay is deep and almost endless... The trigger-ins are velocity-sensitive wich also effects the decay... so all-together a very usefull and fun machine (it can also be used by a live-drummer)

Im still looking for the (MPC) clap-module, so any tips are welcome smile

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

yeah indeed, they seem wicked those things!

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Ive got the KIT free from someone, and I've payed about 130eur for the modifications done by a skilled and very kind synthdoctor. He can fix and (custom)mod almost any (analog) machine on request. First plan was to make it MIDI, but analog triggers are cheaper and now I can also trigger the sounds with triggers or audio-outs from other drummachines or with the Simmons MidiTriggerMidi-convertor.

I dont know more about the MPC-electronics KIT than the internet tells us, but some years ago I once owned a 2channel 19" synthdrum; the dsm200 from the same company. That one is def worth picking up if you need fat bass or toms..

I heard the psu was underpowered for the sbs - maybe trying a beefier power supply will do the trick?
