Re: is love worth it?

Getting dressed for work this morning and looked down at my wife still asleep in bed and was overcome by waves of love.  Gave her a kiss before I left and now the world seems a nicer place to be in.

It'll probably wear off by midday and I'll want to machine gun every fucker who gets in my way but I'm making the most of it while it lasts.

now fucking cheer up everyone please, the winter is hard enough for ex-mental patients like me to get through as it is!

however much love makes you feel like shit, you know you're always gonna go back for more so let's stop sounding like a broken Radiohead record here... it's human nature to fall in love. there's nothing you can do about it, so accept it and have what fun you can with it before you can't anymore. it really is as simple as that.

I've had my heart broken 1000 times, and yes it's not easy. but just make like Conan and take the pain! love may have its flaws but it's a lot better than hate.

it's because us in Berlin haven't seen the sun for a fortnight... wink

anyway. I'm alright. Tonight the discotheque will save my soul...

Nothing more painful that the end of a long relationship, specially when you still live together "for convenience".
Sometimes there is still love and affection but it can't work maybe because the weight of everyday life is too heavy.
I feel so tired morally and physically by this situation. I've to move, find an apartement, find a new job but I've no energy to do anything. I thought 2009 was a very bad year for me

Yes... well..there was a slight bit of sun yesterday, did you catch it? And its soooo cold right now. I dont leave the house anymore, only to bring in the food.

And about love and all that stuff.. I always wonder, sometimes theres these men or women, came out of three or four long marriages, have a carreer, have kids, HOW DO THEY DO IT? I mean, breaking up a relationship costs so much energy, how can you still have time for anything else in your life?

Re: is love worth it?

Right now - no. It's been 16 months since my ex dumped me, 9 months since she pulled a mutual friend right before my very eyes, and I just had a cry because I saw her pic on tthe web...

Out of the blue yesterday a pretty lady at work walked up to me and handed me a folded up letter with my name and 'private' written on it and asked me to read it before rushing away.  It said that she really liked me and wanted to get to know me better. She left her phone number and awaits me call/text.

Shame it had to happen at work as I don't mix work and pleasure.

Not to sound harsh but that work pleasure blend is obviously going to run out quite soon, and I obviously have no clue as to the harsh realities of working in an outpatients ward, but still, can't hurt to give her a call.

Worst comes to worst, you's meet up, she's a mental case.

Although I can see how that could get awkward if you's run across each other at work.

@ Robot374 & casionova: I know, I should have been able to get this out of my system by now. I was just so taken by surprise. Fuck... How long do I have to suffer for this shit.

Re: is love worth it?

@ mademoiselle: its nice that you still seem to like and get along with each other. but didnt you end this relationshiop for a good reason? actually theres sth thats more painful than the end of a long relationship. to know its not working for whatever reason but having the other person right in front of you all the time. impossible to get over it. so this situation is not bearable, but unfair for him and for you. maybe he can be your best friend again, but for now.. take your time.. on your own. gtfo!! i have no idea how hard it is to find an app in paris, but go look for one asap. the whole process of moving and truly leaving him will cost lots of energy, for sure. and you might feel even more lonely at first in your new app. but make it your new home, find back to yourself again, enjoy! in the long run you will save a lot of energy this way.
good luck, my dear!

Re: is love worth it?

I was doing ok for the past few weeks. I was productive, optimistic and social for the first time since MAY! Did not anticipate for me to react so strongly to this. Now I've been angsty all day, close to a panic attack. As luck has it, I have an appointment with a shrink tomorrow, whom I told last time I really didn't need...
