Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Check the handy Roland table: http://pustostany.pl/fotoplastikon/roland_table.pdf.
The first two numbers of the serial number are the month that your Roland was made in.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@roginator: good you kept the ds-2. i was seriously thinking about buying this from you, but the shipping probably would have been crazy.

@alex: excellent! now make some new tracks, young man! big_smile

But no sequencer and arpeggiator...and I think the DS2 sound is a bit harsher though...doesn't have the fuziness and woolyness "funk" bass of the 101...the DS2 is nice for weird modulated sounds though.

Do you know the DS-1?

TB or not TB

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

@rude66
First I have to review my studio room, because it is getting crowded tongue was looking for those Jaspers stands, but
for the price I will build my own in wood... more classy and less expensive (because I have some solid 5x5cm wood
bars leftover from my model train layout construction, otherwise it would not be so cheap).
Have to fit 5 keyboards...

but yesterday I did a extremely quick jam with the 220 and the 202, hand synced smile was fuuuun :DDDD

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

''in almost perfect condition'' (but with a broken polyphony section!) and already almost 400 euro.. no thanks..

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Just received a Paia Fatman, the desktop version.

Pretty cool. it was already built and about half the price of the kit.  It sounds good, very limited but a nice think 70s style sound.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

EHX Frequency Analyzer EH-5000, Boss DM-3 and a Seku Sequencer built by the very author of this thread!

soundcraft folio mixer- one of the best mixers for a small live setup. sweeping mids on the eq, 2 auxes, and short faders. i wish it had para mid eq on the stereo channels though! the mute buttons on the mackie 1202 are good but i find it difficult to mix stuff together live with rotary faders. I hate long ass faders like some of the other folio mixers so this is a nice compromise

Hey what are those buttons on the stereo channels? Do they switch between input 7 & 8 and 9 & 10?

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Been a very good couple of months of record selling. Very nice things coming in these days. Very crazy day today.

Absolutely perfect, dead mint SH-09 with road case came today. Was 399 USD+shipping. I know it's well loved on this board and I hear why. Such a pure tone, such a different tone than the 101. Not as smooth, vintage. Very fun to play tonight. Nice to have old things in nice shape too. I was thinking of selling the 101 but they are so different I will probably keep both. Well at least until I need some dough again for something else.

Then a box with a Yamaha TX81Z, Roland MKS50 and Behringer ADA8000 in it later for only 340 USD shipped. The MKS50 was $150 and the TX81Z was $50 Buy It Now on Ebay. Very pleased with both synths. I asked if he had anything else and he told me he had a ADA8000 he'd sell me for $80. Was excited to get the ADA8000 for cheap. I didn't have an ADAT and was hoping to get one of these cheap so I could finally get my Korg Oasys PCI system going.

And finally on my lunchbreak I bought a Livewire AFG (Audio Frequency Generator) just today locally for 300 CDN. We did it drug dealer style at the Safeway. Will be a nice partner to the Dual Cyclotron I just bought off John McEntire of Tortoise through AH also for a nice price. Euro(c)rack has definitely sucked me in. Collecting those Malekkos and just filled a second 6U case.

Re: What new booty have you acquired?

Ha..Nothing really exiting but super super nice... A new G key for my JX3P as the old one had broken, and a new Joystick assembly for my Poly 61.. Fitted last night and both keyboards back to fighting fit. Fixing is the new buying..

+++ Dont be scared honey, thats just the resonance knob +++
