Hey fantomas I was just talking about that movie with one of my tutors at uni...you know the entire cast and crew were hypnotised during the shooting of the film? Every one except Werner haaaha

I'm not sure, I guess so...my tutor was just describing the way the actors look possessed with their eyes half shut. It was because I've been trying to find a film that was obscure and strange that I saw a long time ago and he thought it could have been that film...but it wasn't. I'm never going to find it sad

I really didn't get this one. Maybe it was because I rewatched the "original" first and my expectations were way off, but I didn't get the satire at all, it just felt tame. Apparently Herzog hasn't even seen the original and it was the producers who wanted it to be named Bad Lieutenant though the similarities are abundant. It would have been much better off without the connection so you would see it for the comedy it is.

Probably Nicolas Cage has a big part in this, I just can't stand him anymore. Every film he's done after Leaving Las Vegas is just a fucking crapfest and stands for everything I hate about movies.

I treated it as if it was a comedy. it was quite enjoyable this way.

The first scene in the car park was particularly funny. I'll never be able to say "molest" the same way again.
